Richard Rodriguez is a dedicated advocate for progressive politics, deeply committed to fair wages and workers' rights. As the National Policy Director with One Fair Wage, he plays a crucial role in the fight to eliminate the subminimum wage and ensure fair compensation for all workers. His robust background in labor advocacy has seen him champion numerous campaigns across the U.S., including U.S. presidential, Illinois Congressional, and local races. Notably, his leadership of the Will County team for Bernie Sanders during the 2016 primary marked a significant victory, solidifying his commitment to progressive momentum.

Richard has made substantial contributions to progressive community organizing. As a top organizer for SEIU Local 73. He founded the Will County Progressives, transforming it from a small group into a powerful local force that overhauled the local Democratic Party. Additionally, he has chaired the Illinois chapter of Our Revolution and currently serves as the treasurer of the national board for Our Revolution. Richard's efforts in chairing political action committees and spearheading social justice initiatives, such as a redistricting ballot initiative, further highlight his impact.
